Prayers Answered!

I have so big news! I quit my job AND I have a new job! I am so excited about all the changes. Aaron and I (along with many of you) have been praying about my job situation for a very long time. I made the decision at then end of the school year that I would be leaving Discovery, but decided I would wait till the summer to really leave. Well, am I ever glad that I waited! Of course, God had this in His plan the whole time. About 2 weeks ago a position at Rainbow Elementary opened up on the Madison City Schools website. One of the wonderful things was that the position was still in Madison City. That means if I got the position I would not loose my tenure and would be in the same system.

Well- I got the call yesterday and was offered the position! Of course, I politely said I would accept and then screamed A LOT after I hung up the phone! So- here are the logistics. I will be at 4, yes 4, elementary schools. I will be at 2 schools each semester. Right now, I know that I will be at Rainbow and Horizon for the first semester. I will be teaching K-2 grade! Then, next semester I will be at Columbia and Heritage. From what my principal at Rainbow thinks...which I guess I'll find out soon enough. I should be teaching K-2 grade there too. I am just so excited about working with the little kids!

I'm sure I will have a lot more to say about this later!

That is very very very exciting!!! :) I'm so happy for you--this is just the news you've been needing! I guess this will mean a LOT less 'extracurricular' stuff, right? Like band/chorus?

What great news! Congratulations!

That is great news, Sara! I am so happy that it worked out for you. I know you are excited! The little kids are much more fun than the big ones in my opinion. I hope the stress will be not as much...or atleast a different kind that easier to handle. Congrats!
