So, if you didn't already know I was getting braces....I got them on this morning. I have begun the long road to hopefully ending my TMJ Disorder. I have been struggling with very bad headaches for about 2 years now. The plan is to have braces for about 2 years. After about a year and a half after having them on I will be having jaw surgery. That will be interesting!
Right now I am just trying to deal with the pain and eat what I can. I hope the soreness goes away soon. I have a long weekend coming up with school activities. I will keep you posted!

oh wow, you got them already. I hope the headaches will go away soon! I never got the update that you found the problem! Good luck with the braces, I think Mike Montana had to do kind of the same thing, I know he had surgery when we were in middle school. Anyway, I'll keep you, the pain, and the headaches in my prayers!
I hate that you had to get braces. I have TMJ too. Fortunately, I'm able to wear a night splint. That has helped out tremendously. Hope that you are not sore for too much longer. These two years will fly by.

I'm so sorry, Sara. I know the TMJ and headaches has been miserable for you. Dad said that your TMJ was pretty bad. I really hope the braces and surgery make it all much better. I hope the soreness gets better and you can eat what you want again. Hang in there! Had fun seeing you tonight. Thanks for helping w/ the kids. :)
